Genelia back with Katha

Telugu moviegoers are dissatisfied this year, but why? Because in 2009, they could watch only one new film from gorgeous Genelia, whereas the previous years saw an average of 3-4 Genelia movies releasing in Telugu! The reason is not far to seek; the actress has been concentrating more on her Bollywood films: Life Partner, It's My Life and Chance Pe Dance, to build a stunning career in Hindi as well!

Luckily for Tollywood fans, Genelia has no plans to leave her them completely disappointed! The actress will soon come up with her second Telugu film of the year Katha, being directed by debutant Srinivas Raga and produced by Gunnam Gangaraju. After Kangna Ranaut, who recently charged one crore for her Telugu debut Darling, Genelia is being paid one crore for Katha.

According to sources, Katha has already completed its shooting and is expected to grace screens in December. Music director S.K. Balachander has set music to four songs. The cast includes Prakashraj, Raghubabu and Shafi. Cinematography is by Andrew and art is by Ravinder.

Is Genelia Taking 'More Beer'?

She is known as the bubbly beauty of the southern circuit and has managed the same tag even in Bollywood where glamour rules the roost. Her young and sprightly looks gives her that edge to pass off as a school and college girl as well. She is our very own Haasini, real name Genelia.

Genny as she is fondly known has been known for her slender looks but her recent pictures have been sending a different message. The pretty girl seems to have put on some weight and flesh is appearing on the right places. Many are asking if she has been taking beer to get that extra bulge (as she spends enough time at pubs).

Usually, Genelia is known to be a girl next door type and lately after moving to Bollywood, her sense of dressing has been quite revealing and glamorous as well. Looking at her fleshy look, the innocence in her is slowly being replaced by a teasingly seductive look. What’s happening Genny???

Genelia to host 'Big Switch' reality show

After acting in around 30 movies in a career spanning less than six years, popular South Indian beauty Genelia is now all set to debut in the small screen. Genelia will begin by hosting UTV Bindass' new reality show 'Big Switch'.

In the novel format of the show (produced by Endemol), a celeb's offspring will be partnered with a slum child and they have to complete some tasks together. Big Switch will feature 10 rich participants sharing their living space with an equal number of slum dwellers. Interestingly, the show does not have any prize money.

The sources added that apart from Genelia, the channel is also trying to rope in Adhyayan Suman, Adam Bedi, Bappa Lahiri, Pooja Mishra and Natasha Suri for the reality show, which is to begin on October 24.

Meanwhile, the actress is currently awaiting for the release of her upcoming Telugu film Katha, directed by debutant Srinivas Raga. Genelia plays a teacher opposite Tamil hero Arun Kumar in this film produced by Gunnam Gangaraju under the banner of Just Yellow. Katha will grace screens on October 29.
